Η Δρ Μαρίνα Δημητράκη είναι γυναικολόγος με εξειδίκευση στην υπογονιμότητα και την υποβοηθούμενη αναπαραγωγή. ΄Εχει ερευνητικό έργο στο πεδίο της γυναικολογικής ενδοκρινολογίας και της υποβοηθούμενης αναπαραγωγής και η επιστημονική της δουλειά έχει δημοσιευθεί σε διεθνή και ελληνικά περιοδικά.
Κατέχει 3 τίτλους μεταπτυχιακών σπουδών – Βιολογίας της Αναπαραγωγή, Ανδρική υπογονιμότητα, Διοίκηση Μονάδων Υγείας. Είναι διδάκτωρ Πανεπιστημίου Θεσσαλίας στο πεδίο της γυναικολογικής ενδοκρινολογίας και η διδακτορική της διατριβή έχει τίτλο «΄Αμβλυνση του μηχανισμού παλίνδρομης αλληλορύθμισης των οιστρογόνων με την ηλικία». Μετά από γραπτές και προφορικές εξετάσεις έλαβε τον τίτλο European Fellow of Obstetrics and Gynecology of EBCOG από το 2016 και European Fellow of Reproductive Medicine of ESHRE από το 2020. Είναι Αναπληρώτρια Επιστημονική Διευθύντρια της Embryolab.
Συμμετέχει ως προσκεκλημένη ομιλήτρια σε μεταπτυχιακά προγράμματα πανεπιστημίων στο πεδίο της αναπαραγωγής. Λαμβάνει μέρος σε στις εργασίες και ανακοινώσεις συνεδρίων στην Ελλάδα και το εξωτερικό, με ενδιαφέρον στη γυναικολογική ενδοκρινολογία, την αναπαραγωγική ιατρική, την ενδομητρίωση / αδενομύωση, την παιδική και εφηβική γυναικολογία.
Την ενδιαφέρει η οργάνωση και διεξαγωγή ιατρικών ερευνητικών πρωτοκόλλων και υποστηρίζει την αναγκαιότητα της διαρκούς μελέτης, εξάλλου είναι πτυχιούχος και της Φιλοσοφικής Σχολής ΑΠΘ. Πρεσβεύει την ιατρική με επίκεντρο τον άνθρωπο, γι΄αυτό και η φράση που την εκφράζει είναι τα λόγια του Ιπποκράτη “Ουκ ένι Ιατρικήν ειδέναι, όστις μη οίδεν ό τι εστίν άνθρωπος” δηλ. “είναι αδύνατο να γνωρίζει την ιατρική, αυτός που δεν γνωρίζει ακριβώς τι είναι άνθρωπος”.
Είναι μέλος της ΕSHRE (European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology), της EBCOG (European Board and College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology), της ISGE (International Society of Gynecological Endocrinology), της HSCCP (Ελληνική Εταιρεία Παθολογίας Τραχήλου), της HSGE (Ελληνική Εταιρεία Γυναικολογικής Ενδοκρινολογίας) και της ΕΛ.Ε.Ι.Υ.Α (Ελληνική Εταιρεία Ιατρών Υποβοηθούμενης Αναπαραγωγής).
