Social responsibility at EMBRYOLAB is part of our daily life.

It stems from our core principles and founding goals: Quality, Innovation, and Transparency, to which we have added Safety for every person who trusts us for fertility treatment, as well as for every partner and employee.

We believe in people and in the strength of our team, who with knowledge, science, dedication, and humanity, help fulfill the wishes of those who trust us to have a child.

Embryolab implements a comprehensive Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy, focusing on people and society, children, women, science, health, and the environment. For the past 20 years, Embryolab has stood by people with love, optimism, and care.

For the next decade, we are committed to leaving a green footprint, engaging in social and volunteer action, supporting children at risk, and helping women in need.

SUPPORTING WOMEN

  • We support the “Alma Zois” Association of Thessaloniki and women with breast cancer. During the event “Life Leaps Through Dialogues,” we provided financial sponsorship and participated with a presentation to raise awareness among the public and the volunteers of the Association.
  • We support the “Nea Elpida” Women’s Association of Thessaloniki in their social activities.
  • We support the “Kyveli” Fertility Association in Greece, in its efforts to inform the public about infertility prevention and to assist couples undergoing fertility treatments for the sixth consecutive year.
  • We support Women and Fertility Associations in France, the UK, Serbia, and Romania.

RAISING AWARENESS ON FERTILITY

  • Through both in-person and online campaigns for World Fertility Day and European Fertility Week.

SUPPORTING FAMILIES IN NEED

  • “Love Packages” with tons of food for impoverished families at the Evangelismos Parish in Evosmos.
  • Emergency assistance through the collection of food and essential supplies for the flood victims of Thessaly.
  • Donation of 4,500 liters of water to flood victims in Thessaly.

ENGAGING IN SOCIAL AND CULTURAL ACTIVITIES

  • Sponsored 10 uniforms for the Philharmonic Orchestra of Kalamaria Municipality.
  • Supported events organized by the cultural group “Horomythes.”
  • Provided opportunities for our team members to attend a workshop on Communication and Public Speaking.
  • Official sponsor of the Marketing Club.

ENVIRONMENTAL FOOTPRINT

We recycle cigarette butts through the Cigaret Cycle program.

Annual recycling figures for cigarette butts:
2.54 kg of cigarette butts = 3,750 pieces of cigarette butts

From their recycling process, we obtain:
0.56 kg of compost & 1.96 kg of raw industrial plastic material

ENVIRONMENTAL BENEFITS

29.25 m³ of freshwater or saltwater saved from pollution
16.26 kg of CO2 emissions prevented from being released into the environment
395.99 MJ of non-renewable energy saved from the production of new materials

  • As an initiative by the management, an Embryolab team member was trained and certified as a Sustainability (ESG) Practitioner, Advanced Edition 2023
  • We recycle paper, plastic, batteries, and electrical appliances
  • Paperless Clinic
  • Sensors have been installed to save energy in all areas
  • We manage solid waste
  • Through the development and use of mobile applications, computers, and live interfaces, we save paper, energy, and reduce transportation

SUPPORTING OUR PEOPLE

  • Postgraduate scholarships and continuing education for our staff
  • Free daily gynecology services for the 80 female employees at Embryolab
  • Free fertility preservation and IVF treatments for our team
  •  Weekly, Embryolab staff can access free sessions with the Unit’s psychologist-psychotherapist

VOLUNTARY BLOOD DONATION

  • With the voluntary participation of our team, we maintain a Blood Bank that has donated over 160 units of blood to date.
